If you could enforce one new rule to professional football...
What would you bring in?

Diving to be punished retrospectively? This could end diving overnight I think.

Ball to hand is NOT handball?

Time-keeping done independent of referees?
They have enough going on. Rugby has it right.

How can we make the game better?

Modification to the offside rule, so it is similar to ice hockey.

Can only be offside in the penalty area. Can't be there before the ball is played, but once the ball is in the penalty area, you can't be offside. Once the ball goes out of the penalty area, things are re set.

Corner kicks can swing out of play and back again as long as the ball doesn't touch the ground.

Definitely the retrospective punishment for cheating. It's near impossible for the refs to detect if it's done well.

If you lay a hand on an oppo player in the penalty area whether from a corner or free kick you concede a penalty

Scrap tv replays showing that a player may be 4 inches offside 100 times over and then berating a referee and linesman. the standard is so high these days compared to years ago.

Scrap all technology in the game. keep the goalline stuff they have now if they want, but no more.

Back to just one substitute from 2 or 3 bench warmers.

Having a squad on the bench and 3 changes has largely brought about the shit highly paid foreigners.

Shirt pulling should be an offence

What do mean it is?

In that case mandatory eyetest for referees because we all see from the stands and they can't see it from 20 yards

and bring back tackling and not make everything a foul if someone is milliseconds too late.

its a contact sport keep it that way. i'm not advocating a 60's style kick them in the air type football, just allow it to be a physical game

Young players on level money until they are 23-25...

Seriously.

Like YTS or trainee.

Get rid of this baby bentley culture and the apathy that young players seem to have when they hit 17 and are already multi-millionaires and leading a pampered lifestyle.

No subsidising this with commercial activities either.
